Mobile Phone

OK, I was excited when I got my new phone yesterday. I called T-Mobile customer service to port my old SprintPCS number, and waited, and waited, and today, waited. Nothing happened.

Finally after dinner I thought I should give them a call to check what was going on. It turned out, suprisingly, instead of putting the old number on the new phone, they simply added to my account. As results, new phone new number, old phone old number, and old number in new account like an orphan (no MS attached).

Hopefully they straighted it out by now. And the wait started again...

[Update 7/29]: Interesting enough, the second CSR didn't fix the problem. She grabbed the number from SprintPCS, but couldn't associate it to my new phone. So, around 10 PM I called again. This time the 3rd CSR transferred me to a 2nd-tier tech support, who solved the problem in 2 minutes by manually overriding the system. Now everything works fine and I'm happy with the slick new toy. T-Mobile CSRs were very nice courteous, but don't expect your call will get immediately answered (I was on hold for over 20 minutes).

Only one complaint about the phone - it is difficult to flip open the phone with one hand.

Get Born - Jet

Bad boys, big-name knock-off, but they did it damn well. Just like Beatles, Rolling Stone, AC/DC, Pearl Jam, etc. made this album all together. Most songs deserve a single.

Official website

[Edit] tyang "mentioned" Jet to me quite some time ago. I listened a few songs and carelessly determined they were just another Beatles knock-off. He should have made a "strong recommendation" :) (such as in the case of Travis).

My Music CD Collection is Boring

Just browse through my CDs and suddenly found them so boring, including those "I've got to have" ones. GnR for instance, I haven't touched those discs for long time. Maybe I'll end up listening to NPR on my way to/from work all the time. Rock is dead in me?

New Front Suspension

Finally I was tired of fixing the old air shock all the time. I installed this 105 mm travel Italian-made baby and couldn't be happier.

Traffic Signal Citation

To my surprise today, I got a traffic signal violation citation in the mail. The citation had color photos attached indicating I ran a red light on 6/28/2005, at 19:53:56, 0.65 second after red. Big deal!. I guess the City of Frederick might be running a budget deficit...

I always thought I was a safe driver, and still do apparantly.

Long weekend is over

Three days flew by in a blink. Spent the most of Saturday driving and about one and half hour on Rehoboth beach (bad idea going to beach on 7/4 weekend). Shopping on Sunday, and relax at home watch Tour de France on July 4th.
And I feel that time’s a wasted go...

Tour de France

This is probably the most viewed cycling event every year. Lance Armstrong is going for his No.7 and so far he is doing well at the 2nd place after three stages, 2 seconds behind the current yellow jersey. Free video recap is available at olntv.com. Too bad it isn't hi-def, neither is the OLN channel on cable.
